With the Games fast approaching, there's no better time to think about eating right!

There'll be athletes from all around the world descending on our country, so this week Yelp brings you some healthy eating spots from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Martha's

142A St Vincent Street, Glasgow

Austen M tells us that "when you go to Martha's, "healthy" actually means amazingly tasty and filling food. I went for the spicy pork ramen and it was brilliant. A huge portion, hot but not too hot, loads of pork and noodles and a sauce which was so tasty!"

Let Me Eat

63 Holyrood Road, Edinburgh

Jurgen D "tries to have their salads most days - lots of toppings and tasty dressings make even lettuce taste good! Their Polish specials are always a treat, the pierogi and the beetroot soup are two of my favourites."

Siempre

162 Dumbarton Road, Glasgow

"The sandwiches are really different to other cafés doing similar things in Glasgow and it's always tough to make a decision as to what to have," ponders Susan F. "My favourite is the "hot to trot' a pulled pork affair, although the crayfish po'boy and healthy New Yorker are close runners up. The po'boy is the most authentic I have tasted since eating the real deal in Louisiana, thanks to the unique blackened taste and sauce."

Casa Angelina

42 London Road, Edinburgh

Sara C devours their "pomegranate and quinoa salad, with bean sprouts and added deliciousness," for bites that wow. They also serve healthy juices and superfood salads.

Saramago at the CCA

350 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow

"Prices are reasonable (£7 for a huge salad, £6 for a big ol' sandwich)," says Lauren D. "I've never had a substandard meal. My favourite is the new potato salad with artichokes. The root vegetable chips are also great!"

BrewLab

6 South College Street, Edinburgh

Their soups and salads get Katie N quite excited - supplied by Union of Genius, they vary daily: from chorizo and chickpea, puy lentil and bacon with gorgonzola, to buckwheat, kale and dates. "Always fresh", seasonal and perfect before a long white!

Social Bite

103 St Vincent Street, Glasgow

"There's plenty of choice, and as a pescetarian I was pleasantly surprised by the range of options open to me. Even for pure vegetarians there's a lot to choose from, including a rather tasty looking falafel salad box."

Earthy

1 Canonmills Bridge, Edinburgh

Valerie M used to think salads were only "green leaves, carrot, and cucumber", until she found Earthy's 10 salad options to make up a platter. With "bulgur wheat, wild rice, goats cheese, pomegranate and sweet potato wedges, with cinnamon and walnuts to finish", she now knows how "sexy a salad can be!"

Wee Guy's

51 Cochrane Street, Glasgow

"There's a good selection to choose from the menu with specials board & stocked up fridge with salad boxes, cakes and home baking to sit in or to go. There is a good varied selection to choose from on the breakfast menu from filled rolls to eggs Benedict or the full Scottish."

Thyme

44 Earl Grey Street, Edinburgh

Laura D says "the salads are amazing - my favourites are the half and half (half salad, half cous cous) chicken and falafel or chicken and cashew nuts. The soup is homemade and comes with a thick piece of bread."
