Comic book fans have been given their first glimpse of David Tennant as a villain in the new Netflix Marvel series.
Tennant has dropped his Scottish accent in favour of an English twang for his portrayal of 'The Purple Man', AKA Dr Zebediah Kilgrave in Jessica Jones.
The new teaser shows Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, putting up photographs on her pinboard which comes to life as Tennant speaks.

Kilgrave had the power to persuade his enemies to do his bidding in the original comics.
The first season of Jessica Jones will premiere on Netflix on Friday, November 20.
