PMP, the building and project management firm, has hired Joseph Madden to head its new Glasgow office as part of plans to expand in the west of Scotland.

Mr Madden, formerly head of Scottish operations at Watts Group, arrives shortly after Edinburgh-based PMP agreed a 10-year lease on a 1,000 square foot office in Stirling House, St Vincent Street.

The Edinburgh-based firm plans to take on a team of four to support Madden and develop business in the west.

Managing director John Dunn said: "Joseph's appointment comes at a time when we are experiencing ever improving business conditions. A large range of projects is now receiving financial support and even speculative development has made a return. The timing is right for us to invest in our west coast business which will complement our established team in Edinburgh."
