The widow of the latest British victim of the Algeria siege to be identified has described him as "the most amazing person".

Sebastian John was one of six UK nationals, including two Scots, thought to have died in the terrorist attack at the BP gas facility at In Amenas.

Civil engineer Mr John, 26, of Twickenham, Middlesex, who had a seven-month-old baby and was married to Nicola, would be eternally missed, she said.

Mrs John said: "Sebastian was the most amazing person. He was a fantastic husband, father, son and brother. There won't be a moment that goes by where we won't think of him."

A total of 37 foreign workers are believed to have died at the remote desert facility which was overrun by heavily-armed militia. Some 29 of the hostage-takers died, while three were captured by Algerian troops during a special forces mission.

Three of the Britons killed have been named as planning manager Kenneth Whiteside, 59, from Glenrothes, and Paul Morgan and Garry Barlow, 49, both from Liverpool. Carson Bilsland, from Perthshire, has also reportedly died.
