A SCOTS firm is among five who have been named and shamed for failing to pay the correct national mininum wage.
The five small employers including an Edinburgh guest house and two hairdressers, are the first to be named under the stricter rules, who between them owe workers a total of over £6800 in arrears and have been charged financial penalties totalling £3381.40.
The list announced by Business Secretary Vince Cable included Mohammed Yamin of Minto Guest House, who neglected to pay £808.56 to a worker.

The Trades Union Congress said it was a "welcome start" but the businesses that had been "named and shamed" were very small.
"There are companies out there who are cheating hundreds of staff out of a legal minimum wage," said Frances O'Grady, general secretary.
