A group of men wielding knives attacked a train station in south-western China, with reports of at least 27 people dead and more than 100 innjured.

Officials at the station, K6, on the Kunming Railway, said several attackers were shot by police and that victims were being transported to hospital. The state-run Yunnan News agency said the men were wearing uniforms when they stormed the railway station.
