A TOAST has been raised to Glasgow's famous Transport Museum, as fans and curators celebrate 50 years since the original centre opened its doors.
Research manager Rosemary Watt was joined by Ian Stewart, a member of the Scottish Tramway and Transport Society, as they sipped champagne in front of the 116-year-old "Room and Kitchen Tram". The original Transport Museum, in Albert Drive, was opened by the Queen Mother in 1964. It later moved to the Kelvin Hall and, more recently, to the Riverside Museum.
