A CANCER survivor who carried out a £200,000 mortgage fraud has been jailed for three years.
Alistair Fairlie took part in the con after falsely claiming he was a £60,000-a-year business manager.
Fairlie was then able to snap up a flat in Glasgow city centre - then said he was the owner enabling him to access a six-figure sum.
The 46 year-old was imprisoned after admitting to a fraud charge when he appeared at Glasgow sheriff court.
The court heard Fairlie received one-fifth of the £125,000 that was obtained.
Fairlie - who latterly stayed in Bishopbriggs, near Glasgow - also admitted to getting around £5,000 of goods frauduently.
