PERSEPHONE Bates d'Arbela is the Edinburgh Fringe's youngest head of children's programming after she chose three shows to be held at her family's Spiegeltent.
The nine-year-old travels the world with her parents, who manage the famous tent. This year, it will form the centrepiece of a "garden of entertainment" at St Andrews Square, hosting shows including James Campbell's Comedy for Kids, Mr Boom and Brave Macbeth. It will also stage comedy, cabaret and music shows.
The mirrored tent, which is made of wood, mirrors and leaded glass and decorated with velvet, was built in 1920.
