ITV is bringing back the variety show Sunday Night at the London Palladium, almost 60 years since it first appeared on television.

It will broadcast six shows in autumn, with each one presented by a different host. Rob Brydon, Jimmy Carr and Jack Whitehall are already signed up as presenters.

Guests will include Neil Diamond, Art Garfunkel and Bryan Adams, with performances also booked from Earth, Wind and Fire, Little Mix and comedians Alan Davies and Sarah Millican.

ITV's commissioning editor Peter Davey said: "We've got some great hosts and fantastic guests booked to play the iconic stage of the London Palladium and we're excited that Sunday Night at the Palladium will be a fun and unmissable part of our weekend line-up."

The show was launched in 1955 and included performances by acts including Bill Haley, Bob Hope, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
