A man who died after his car collided with a lorry on one of Scotland's busiest roads has been named by police.

Witold Solski, 65, from Dundee, died in the crash on the A90, two miles south of Brechin, at about 6.20pm on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old female passenger in the Skoda and the lorry driver were uninjured.

Inquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
