David Hasselhoff swapped KITT for Kingsley when he came face to face with the famous mascot of Partick Thistle.

The 63-year-old, who is transforming himself into Captain Hook to delight panto audiences this festive season, has taken the Jags to his heart since arriving in Glasgow and, earlier this month, invited the squad to see him in Peter Pan.

Taking full advantage, players Liam Lindsay and Gary Fraser joined Kingsley in a trip to meet The Hoff.

Kingsley said: “It was really nice of him to invite us down to see him as Captain Hook.

"It’s my first panto as they don’t really have them in California where I came from. He’s a great guy and to hear he’s a fan of Partick Thistle, is even better.

“As its Christmas, I even brought along him his own Jags top so hopefully he can continue to support us wherever he ends up.”

The star, known for his role in Knight Rider, was delighted to see some of his "favourite team."

He added: "Partick Thistle are on the best run they have had in 40 years and I'm here to help keep it going. They never give up - just like The Hoff.

“Don't you just love them? Oh yes we do.”

And, the Firhill faithful may soon be seeing him at a match, after he was gifted tickets in return for his vocal backing of Alan Archibald's men.

Liam Lindsay certainly hopes he will come along, saying “I know David is extremely busy just now, but hopefully he will have a day off and be able to cheer us on in person.”

Peter Pan runs until the 3rd of January at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow.
