It is one of the most up-and-coming areas of Glasgow and now Finnieston has been named the hippest place to live in the UK.
The trendy neighbourhood was one of only two Scottish entries in The Times list, with Dundee coming ninth.
Finnieston's transformation from former warehouse and dock lands to a trendy destination filled with bars, restaurants and live music venues helped it beat London's Blackhorse Road to the top spot.
The area is also home to the Poetry Club bar, which was built by Turner Prize nominee Jim Lambie, and SWG3, which hosts the Electric Frog music festival.
In a piece for the Herald in November last year, Kevin McKenna extolled the virtues of Finnieston, naming the district the coolest in Scotland.

Dundee also secured ninth place on the list with a little help from its thriving video game industry and new V&A Museum, which is due to open in 2018.
GQ's fashion director Robert Johnston called it "Britain's coolest little city".
Other entries in the list include Margate in Kent, Kelham Islands in Sheffield and Ouseburn in Newcastle.
