British astronaut Major Tim Peake has taken advantage of the out-of-this-world views available to him on board the International Space Station (ISS) to share a stunning image of Scotland on social media.
He sent the image to his followers online with the caption "Scotland, Northern Ireland and Isle of Man looking good this morning!"

Social media users were quick to share the image, retweeting the original more than 1,000 times, with the picture attracking more than 1,700 likes.
Major Tim became the first British-born spaceman on the ISS in December 2015 and has been a prolific social media user during his time in space.
He is on a six-month mission on board the International Space Station and regularly tweets stunning images.
