A FUNDRAISING page has been set up in memory of a 14-month-old baby girl who died after falling ill in her Drumchapel home.

Police have launched an investigation following the death of Inayah Ahmed.

The tot became ill within her home in Drumchapel's Bernisdale Drive on Sunday, April 17.

She was taken to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow where she later died on Wednesday, April 20.

Police say they are treating the death as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing.

The page was set up following her death and has already raised £1,285.

The Herald:

Maddie Gascar, who is responsible for the fundraising efforts, said: "On the 20th of April our beloved inayah went back to our creator.

"She was the life and soul of the family. Without her laughter and antics, everything seems so dull.

"But inayah left us with many lessons in her short space of time with us. One of them being to hold each and every one of your family members close to your heart.

"In memory of inayah I want to make a difference to the lives of other children who may not have the benefits of the health care that we take for granted."

The money raised will go towards Medical Aid for Palestine and you can donate here
