WOOD Group has won a contract to help Premier Oil with planning to develop a new gas field in the North Sea. The Aberdeen-based oil services giant will design a range of production facilities that will be used on the Tolmount development, including subsea production systems and the export pipeline that will link the field to the Dimlington onshore terminal in Humberside. Chief executive Robin Watson said the contract to work on a key North Sea project built upon the firm’s existing relationship with Premier Oil. The value of the contract was not disclosed. In March Premier said the Tolmount field was likely to provide its next phase of growth.
