KELVIN WILSON, the former Celtic defender, has revealed he has spoken to Neil Lennon about a possible summer switch to Hibernian. The 31 year-old is out of contract after spending last season at Rotherham United and hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a reunion with Lennon who was his manager during the player’s two and a half years in Scotland.

“I’ve left Rotherham and I’m a free agent now so we will see what happens,” he said. “I’ve spoken to Lenny, yes. But I don’t know what’s going to happen yet. I’m fit and well and hopefully will have some options and be able to take it from there. It’s something I’d have to sit down with my wife and discuss with my family as well.”

Wilson joined Celtic from Nottingham Forest in January 2011 and returned to the City Ground in August 2013, spending three years at his boyhood heroes before moving on to Rotherham last summer. He admits last season was a bit of a let-down.

“My last season at Rotherham was different,” he admitted. “No disrespect to Rotherham, it’s a good club but when you’ve played for big clubs like Celtic and Nottingham Forest, it was a bit of a culture shock, although I wish them the best of luck trying to get back to the Championship.”
