The Citizens Theatre in Glasgow has unveiled the cast for its production of Cinderella, which is recommended for ages six and over and runs from November 28 to December 31.

Citizens Theatre artistic director Dominic Hill – alongside his frequent collaborator, composer Nikola Kodjabashia – are behind the collaboration.

Peter Collins returns to the company for his third festive season in a row. His most recent appearance at the Citizens was in Dominic Hill’s acclaimed production of The Oresteia: This Restless House.

Also returning to the Citizens for Cinderella is Irene Allan.

The Citizens' two actor interns, Nicholas Ralph and Sinead Sharkey, will also feature in the production.

A global conference featuring artists and leaders in dance and community arts practice from the USA, India, South Africa and Europe, will be hosted by Scottish Ballet and Tramway on October 3-5. This is the second edition of People Dancing’s International Conference, produced in partnership with Scottish Ballet and Tramway, with Safe in Dance International (SiDI) and One Dance UK as official Event Supporters.

The Glasgow 2017 conference features three days of presentations, discussion, performance and networking for dance artists, leaders and teachers.

Eyemouth Hippodrome continues to bring an international music programme to the Berwickshire port. Torch bearers of Captain Beeheart’s idiosyncratic music Orange Claw Hammer appear at the venue on Friday, October 14, with guitarist Nigel Price and saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos co-leading a top line London jazz group on October 21. South Africa-born pianist Philip Clouts’ quartet appears on October 28 as part of its tenth anniversary UK tour and early visitors during November include fiddler-guitar partnership Eilidh Shaw & Ross Martin and violinist Jyotsna Srikanth’s Indo-jazz group Bangalore Dreams.
