JOE MacFadden says he is pleased to be “flying the flag” after becoming the first ever Scot to make the Strictly Come Dancing grand final.

The 42-year-old Holby City star seriously impressed judges with his stunning American Smooth and Argentine Tango with dance partner Katya Jones, scoring a combined total of 70.

He is favourite to lift the Glitterball trophy after appearing to go on a favourable “journey”.

Meanwhile, Mollie King has thanked her dance partner AJ Pritchard for getting her to the semi-final as she became the 11th celebrity to be eliminated. from Strictly last night.

The Come Dancing Grand Final will air at 6.30pm on Saturday, on BBC One.
