A MAN and woman have been remanded in custody over the deaths of two young brothers killed in a suspected hit-and-run collision in Coventry.

Corey six, and Casper Platt-May, two, were struck by a car as they crossed the road while visiting a park with their family on Thursday.

Both boys were taken to hospital where they subsequently died. A damaged black Ford Focus was found a short time after the crash

West Midlands Police said Robert Brown, 53, and Gwendoline Harrison, 41, have been charged under joint enterprise of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.

The pair appeared in court on Friday but spoke only to confirm their names. They will next appear at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday, March 22.
