An aerial drone has been deployed by police in the search for a woman missing in the River Kelvin in Glasgow.
Rescue services have been scouring the river since Tuesday night after reports of two peope in the water.
Police and Fire crews were by members of the public just before 6pm.
A man was rescued and taken to hospital, but it has now emerged that the second person was a woman aged 59, who remains missing.
Officers said this morning that the search for her remains “ongoing”. On Thursday afternoon police used a drone to help with the search.
A post on the Police Scotland Air Unit Twitter page said: “The Air Support Unit are deploying a Police drone near to the River Kelvin, Glasgow, to assist with an ongoing incident.”

Crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Services, who pulled the man from the water, stood down just before 9pm last night.
The rescue operation sparked a huge response with helicopters visible over the city as rescuers probed the river.

The Kelvin, which flows through the city’s West End towards the Clyde, is swollen by rainwater after deluges affected Scotland at the weekend, although the level is subsiding.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said today: "Around 5.45pm on Wednesday, 11 October, 2023, we received a report of concern for two people in the water at the River Kelvin, near to Eldon Street, Glasgow.
"A man was rescued by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
"Searches are ongoing for a 59-year-old woman who remains missing."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 17:41 on 11 October 2023 to attend an incident at the River Kelvin, Glasgow.
"An ambulance, two special operations response teams (SORT), a critical care paramedic and the HM Coastguard were dispatched to the scene.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at around 5.42pm on Wednesday to an incident at the River Kelvin near to Eldon Street, Glasgow.
“Operations control mobilised four fire appliances and specialist resources to the area, where we assisted emergency service partners. Our crews were stood down shortly after 9.30pm.”
