Work has commenced to clear debris from the road after a landslide caused the overnight closure of the A9 at Scrabster.

Roads company Bear NW Trunk Roads alerted road users to the closure around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Later on Thursday morning, the company confirmed that works have commenced to clear material/debris from the road, with traffic now able to pass.

One lane is cleared of debris with traffic being controlled through the area, enabling ferry traffic to reach Scrabster port/terminal, Bear NW Trunk Roads said.
