Christmas may be over, but you can still enjoy a traditional family pantomime and raise money for some good causes at the same time.

The Stanmore Baptist Church Players' production of The Snow Queen is the group's eighth fundraising pantomime, and all profits will be divided between three charities Convoy 2000 for aid to Romania, the Tear Fund and the locally-based Geoff Hawkins Memorial Fund for North India.

The Stanmore Baptist Church Players were established specifically to raise money through pantomime at the church and perform a traditional, fairy-tale show every year, and 2002 is no different.

This year they've adapted Hans Christian Andersen's magical, haunting tale, The Snow Queen, and added some sparkle of their own, dubbing the show a 'panto cum detective story' and promising all the laughs and groans you've come to expect at this time of year!

The Stanmore Baptist Church Players' production of The Snow Queen will be at the church in Abercorn Road, Stanmore on Friday and Saturday (January 11 and 12).

Performances are at 7.30pm with a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm.

Call Susan on 8952 6462 or the church on 8954 2250 to book tickets, which are £4 for adults, £2 for children and £10 for a family of four.
