Arrest made after woman hit by car

A man has been arrested after an elderly pedestrian was hit by a car.

An 87-year-old woman was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment after she was struck by the car in Hospital Street at around 7.40am yesterday. Police Scotland said a 57-year-old man had been charged with road traffic offences.
