Cleaver threat neighbour fined

AN ANGRY octogenarian who threatened his neighbour in Stirling with a meat cleaver over a row about a fruit tree has been fined £1,500.

Retired colliery deputy James White, 80, said he kept the cleaver for making Indian and Chinese meals. He stated that his neighbour, John Dempsey, 54, had not done any gardening in 10 years.
