A TRIAL date has been set for two News of the World journalists accused of hacking phones.

Former deputy editor Neil Wallis, 63, and former features editor Jules Stenson, 48, are charged with intercepting voicemails while working for the newspaper between January 2003 and January 2007.

Sitting at the Old Bailey, judge Nicholas Hilliard QC said the pair would stand trial there on June 3 next year. Their trial is expected to last between four and six weeks and they will appear for a plea hearing on December 12.
