DETECTIVES have launched a double murder probe after two bodies were discovered in Cumbria.

Emergency crews were called to a property in Millom, Cumbria, at 8.39am yesterday, where the bodies of the two women – one in her 50s and the other in her 20s – were found.

Cumbria Police said they had arrested a 23-year-old man from the town on suspicion of murder and were not looking for anyone else in connection with the crime.

Police are working to formally identify the pair.

A force spokesman said: "The victims are believed to be related to the suspect. Police are continuing with their enquiries but at this time they do not suspect anyone else to be involved."
