'Maguire' officer in drink-drive ban

A POLICE officer who was stopped for drink-driving on the day his officers were investigating the fatal stabbing of teacher Ann Maguire has admitted failing to provide a roadside breath test.

Detective Chief Superintendent David Knopwood, 48, of West Yorkshire Police, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined £1,000 by Harrogate magistrates.
