Multi-lingual racist abuse

A MULTI-LINGUAL Scot racially abused an Asian shopkeeper in his own language.

Jason Brown used Punjabi and English to insult n­ewsagent Abdul Rauf in his store.

Brown, 41, made sectarian remarks at the shop in Whitburn, West Lothian, on June 12. Brown, of West Main Street, Whitburn, pled guilty to acting in a racially aggravated manner, committing a religiously aggravated breach of the peace and assaulting a man by repeatedly pushing him.

He was sentenced to 12 months' social work supervision.
