A SCHOOLBOY who faced claims he wanted to kill Barack Obama told classmates he agreed with Hitler and asked if he could build a bomb in school, a court has heard.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is said to have made the comments during chemistry and physics classes in which he was taking part.

And he also allegedly told classmates that he wanted to become a member of the Ku Klux Klan.

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard that during a chemistry lesson, a discussion about hit TV show Breaking Bad had started when a pupil asked the teacher if it would be possible to re-create the character Walter White's actions in a real school.

But giving evidence, a classmate said the boy asked if there was equipment in a school to build a bomb.

The teenager, who had been in mainstream education until March this year, had been set to stand trial charged with terror-related offences but was later deemed unfit to stand trial.

An examination of facts is now taking place before Sheriff Joyce Powrie to establish if he did commit the acts.

Giving evidence from behind screens, three former classmates told how his alleged outbursts had left them shocked.

The hearing continues.
