A teenager required surgery on neck following a serious assault in Glasgow.

The 17-year-old was involved "a small disturbance" with another man in Duke Street, outside the G101 store and the Alexandra Bar near the junction of Millerston Street, at around 6.55pm on Saturday, Police Scotland said.

He suffered a serious neck injury and was initially taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary but later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injury.

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace in their inquiries.

He is described as white, aged between 16 and 20, with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark blue fleece with grey sleeves, black trousers and dark coloured trainers.
