A teenager was taken to hospital following an alleged serious assault in the centre of Glasgow.

The disturbance in Gordon Street happened at around 3.45am on Friday.

The 17-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and released following treatment.

A 32-year-old man is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal, Police Scotland said.

The incident forced the closure of the street, near the city's Central Station, while police carried out their investigations.
