POLICE are hunting down two men after a woman was indecently assaulted at a park in broad daylight.

Police in Dunfermline are appealing for witnesses after a one of the men approached the 24-year-old victim in Pittencrieff Park and indecently assaulted her.

The incident happened on Sunday, April 30 around 1.10pm.

The man is described as dark-skinned, in his late 20’s or early 30’s, with dark hair and with a black beard.

He was wearing a leather jacket, white T-shirt and red training shoes.

He is thought to have been with another male who was also in his late 20’s or early 30’s, slim built, dark-skinned and bald.

The second man was wearing work trousers and a green hooded top.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident or the men in the area on Sunday or who otherwise have information that can help them to trace the individuals.

Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan said: “Thankfully the young woman was not harmed but is understandably upset and distressed by the incident.

“Anyone who saw either or both of these men in Pittencrieff Park or the surrounding area or who has information that can help us to trace them, is asked to contact us on 101.”
