Here are some handy tips for keeping your mind and body in shape for revision!

1 Look after yourself

Although you might think that fizzy drinks and energy drinks are good for helping you study, this just isn't the case - the sugar and caffeine will just make you crash. It's better to eat healthier foods and drink plenty of water. Taking exercise is also a great way to boost your energy levels!

2 Find out what the examiners are looking for

Knowing the examiners are expecting gives you a great advantage when you come to sit your exams. Leckie & Leckie Success Guides give you hints and tips for the big day!

3 Get yourself organised

Whether you have lots of time or you've left it a bit last minute, you should devise a study schedule to organise what time you have left. This way you can assign more study time to subjects you find difficult, and make sure that you cover everything you need to in time.

4 Take breaks

When you're scheduling your study time, make sure you remember to reward yourself for hard work with plenty of breaks. Give yourself incentives to study well.

5 Be aware of technology

Technology can really contribute to your revision - study apps, online quizzes and interactive resources - but you also need to beware of technology that isn't helping. Avoid social media altogether, turn off your phone for the couple of hours that you've assigned to revision, and switch the television off. Learn to differentiate between technology that helps you revise, and technology that helps you avoid revision.

6 Have perspective

You should remember that your exams will not last forever (even if it feels that way). Before you know it they'll be over - it's up to you whether or not you feel like you did your best!

7 Don't work yourself too hard

As important as it is to get your head down and work hard, it's just as important to make sure that you're not overworking yourself. No matter how much work there is to do, you should make sure you're getting plenty of sleep and not dozing off at your desk. It's much better to wake up early feeling refreshed, and getting back to it with a clear head.

8 Practice makes perfect

The more you practice exam questions, the easier it will be to remember the correct answers. Leckie & Leckie Practice Papers contain completed answers and exam tips to make sure your answers are as strong as they can be!

9 Revise well

It's good to revise, but it's better to revise well. It isn't enough to just read over notes - rewrite your notes, answer questions, create mind maps or write topic presentations.

10 This is your time to shine!

Look at your exams as an opportunity to show what you can do! The feeling you'll get when you see excellent, deserved grades will make all of the hard work worth it!
