A REWARD of £25,000 remains on offer for information on the deliberate derailment of a train a year ago.

The front carriage of an Aberdeen-bound train derailed in Angus on Sunday, November 4.

British Transport Police found an obstruction at the scene of the incident involving the 8.04am service from Edinburgh.

Network Rail and train operators CrossCountry, ScotRail and East Coast said a £25,000 reward is still on offer for anyone who provides information which leads to an arrest and conviction.

The derailment happened at around 10am at Inverkeilor village. None of the train's 36 passengers was injured.
