Battle stations

Children inspect the troops at a special re-enactment to mark the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn.

Marcellin and Kimmy Jourdhier from London and Asur Aluarez from Spain were among visitors to Stirling Castle who heard the story behind the bloody battle that led to the ultimate defeat of Edward II's army.

They also had the chance to wander through Scottish and English encampments, see authentic weaponry and armour and witness combat displays.
