A motorcyclist who died in a crash involving three vans has been named.

Craig Baxter, 24, died at the scene of the collision on the A947 road near Fyvie in Aberdeenshire. He was from the Banff area.

The collision happened just after 8am yesterday and it caused the road to be closed for some time to allow investigations to take place.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to get in touch.

We are asking for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the vehicles prior to the incident to come forward with information."
