A bin lorry has crashed into a garden in Glasgow.
It is understood the driver took ill at the wheel at around 11am in Croftside Avenue, near King's Park.
Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, raced to the scene.
The driver was taken to the city's Victoria Infirmary.
A spokesman for Glasgow City Council said: "We are aware of an incident in which a bin lorry left the road earlier this morning. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital to be checked over. It is a huge relief that no-one appears to have been injured.
"We are assisting the police with their enquiries."
The driver of the council bin lorry was alone in the cab when his two colleagues are said to have seen he was becoming unwell.
They managed to jump into the vehicle and pull the handbrake as the lorry veered towards the property.
Fortunately, no one was at home in the four-in-a-block residence.
The front half of the lorry came to rest in the front garden while the back was across the pavement.
One onlooker said: "I can't believe this has happened again. It makes me feel sick. It's just lucky the street is quiet."
