The body of a woman who disappeared after missing her flight to Thailand, has been recovered from a river.

The body of Amunai Hobbs, 41, who is from Thailand but lives in Oban, was pulled from the River Cart, Inchinnan Road, Paisley, around 11.40am yesterday.

She was last seen at Glasgow Airport in the early hours of Thursday, October 2.

She left to go to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley because she felt unwell but then left at about 10.35am that day before treatment.

A post mortem will take place in due course to establish the cause of her death; however, at this time there would appear to be no suspicious circumstances.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
