Bolting ahead

IT IS not quite the running of the bulls in Pamplona, but Moffat attracted a crowd for its third annual sheep race.

Scores of ewes galloped and leapt their way through the Dumfriesshire town with knitted jockeys on their backs - with one standing out from the others just as her Gold medal-winning namesake did at the Commonwealth Games.

Bolt from the Blue was head and shoulders above the rest as she leapt her way to first place. Visitors were able to place a bet on their favourite woolly sprinter, as well as enjoy a variety of stalls and entertainment.
