The annual event, which began last night and continues tonight is being held in The Vic for the first time since its refurbishment in phase one of the GSA campus development.
The show, which this year has the "qualities and characteristics of lace" as its theme, will showcase the designs of second and third-year fashion and textile students.
Jimmy Stephen-Cran, head of Fashion and Textiles, said: "The students have all explored contemporary applications of lace in the creation of their mini collections and additionally our fashion design cohort have each researched the use of lace in a specific, historic period as part of the development of their designs."
Sponsored by footwear brand Dr Martens and textile company Mandors, the fashion show highlights the work of textiles and fashion students specialising in embroidery, knit, print, weave, menswear or womenswear.
Show coordinator Zephyr Liddle said: "We are grateful to Mandors for their ongoing support and delighted that Dr Martens has returned as a headline sponsor."
Tickets for the fashion show are £10 (£7 for students). All profits will help the students to showcase their work at London's New Designers Exhibition in 2015.
