Celebrity visitor

ACTRESS and singer Clare Grogan has met carers who have benefited from a Sport Relief-funded project in East Dunbartonshire.

The Glasgow-born celebrity, who shot to fame in the 1980s with new wave band Altered Images and by starring in the hit movie Gregory's Girl, visited Carers Link in Milngavie yesterday.

The centre, a one-stop shop to support those who look after someone close to them, opened in 2004 and helps around 1000 people a year.
