A woman has been attacked by a man with a glue-type spray as she walked her dogs with her young child.
The 45-year-old was pulled to the ground and sprayed in the face in Livingston, West Lothian, on Easter Monday.
The incident happened in a wooded area off Almond South Road, where she was walking with her son and two dogs at around 2.15pm.
Police have yet to trace the man, who had a Glasgow accent and was wearing a grey top.
The woman was sprayed with an "adhesive-type" spray that left her vision temporarily impaired, Police Scotland said.
She was treated at St John's Hospital and is not expected to suffer any lasting injuries.
Pc Stuart Ritchie said: "This was a traumatic incident for the victim and her family and we are pursuing all possible lines of inquiry to find the perpetrator.
"We have recovered the offending item and are appealing for anyone who saw the incident, or any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time of the incident, to come forward.
"Likewise, if you know who this man is, please help us keep people safe and get in touch."
