Cool way to beat the heat

FRIENDS Tom, six, Oisin, eight, Fergus, six and Eilidh, four, enjoy the summer holidays by taking a dip in the sea at Portobello as the temperature soars.

The mercury hit 25C yesterday in some parts of the country, with further sunshine and warm temperatures expected today. Glasgow is forecast to remain one of the hottest parts of the country, with temperatures predicted to sit around 24C or 25C for much of the week. Elsewhere in Scotland, the mercury is expected to stay above 20C.
