d-day veteran makes heroic jump

JOCK Hutton, 89, a former member of 13 Para, has repeated his D-Day jump from an aircraft into France 70 years on.

The Scots veteran was just 19 when he was dropped behind enemy lines into Normandy shortly before the Allies invaded the beaches, changing the course of the Second World War. About 300 serving soldiers joined him in the display ahead of today's anniversary. Picture: Getty
