Elderly man burned in house fire
An elderly man was taken to hospital with burns following a house fire in the Western Isles.
Crews were called to the two-storey property in north Bragar, on the Isle of Lewis, at 5.50pm yesterday. Firefighters used two hosereel jets to put out the flames by around 7pm.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "One elderly gentleman was taken to hospital with burns to his head, face and hands."
