Five mile tailbacks after crash on M8 in Glasgow city centre
Commuters were caught up in rush hour chaos today after a crash on Scotland's busiest motorway.
The accident sparked five mile tailbacks on the motorway in Glasgow city centre.
It happened shortly before 6am on Tuesday morning.
Traffic was gridlocked between junction 15 Townhead to junction 26 Hillington.
Authorities also warned of a fuel spill on the same stretch of motorway.
It is thought a single vehicle was involved in the accident, however, it is not known if anyone was injured.
Police remained at the scene early on Tuesday.
