A SCHOOLGIRL who was mauled by two American bulldogs has been allowed home from hospital.

Broagan McCuiag, eight, had been in the Royal Hospital for Sick Children at Yorkhill, Glasgow, since she was attacked in Garthamlock on October 18.

She said: "When the doctors told me I could come home I really wanted to jump out of bed right then. I was so excited. Coming back home was just like, 'wow'."

Broagan, who has already undergone surgery on her face and leg, is still to have skin grafts. She said: "I don't have nightmares now. When I close my eyes I can still see it but I'm getting good at forgetting those pictures."
