Glasgow priest is made monsignor

Pope Francis has honoured and promoted a Glasgow priest.

Father John Hughes, Rector of the Pontifical Scots College Rome, has been named Chaplain of His Holiness. The 65-year-old now qualifies to be named a Monsignor. He will be presented with the Pope's parchment at St. Andrew's Cathedral on Sunday.
