Dundee United's Scottish Premiership clash with St Johnstone has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, the club have confirmed.

An inspection on the Tannadice pitch carried out on Monday found the surface to be unplayable.

A statement published on United's official website read: "Following a pitch inspection, tonight's game versus St Johnstone has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch."

A new date for the rearranged fixture is yet to be announced.
